I am most grateful to you all for honouring invitation like this to such a great occasion at no other place than New Edubiase Methodist Chapel. You are most welcome.
I want to begin by expressing my sincerest gratitude to God for appointing me to this high office of Bishop of the Obuasi Diocese. Benjamin Franklin wrote, “Nothing is certain except death and taxes”.
I want to associate with Mary’s song of praise, the magnificat, when she realized that she was the one chosen by God to be the mother of the long – awaited Messiah—Jesus Christ.
“My soul praises the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me—holy is his name.”
My prayer is that He who has called me will give me the grace to carry out the task for which He called me.
