The induction Service of the Connexional Lay Movement Executive Council took place on Sunday October 22nd, 2017 at the Bethel Methodist Chapel, Ayigya Kumasi. The programme started at 8:30 am Prompt. The official officiants were:


  • The Most Reverend Titus Kofi Awotwi Pratt (Presiding Bishop)
  • Brother Bernard Clement K. Botwe (Lay President)
  • The Very Reverend Joshua K. A Orgen (Director, Lay Ministries Directorate)
  • All Bishops
  • All Lay Chairmen
  • Other Ministers

The Inductees were:


  • Brother (ING) James Kofi Osei-Owusu (Vice Chairman, CLMC)
  • Brother Isaac Simpson (Secretary, CLMC)
  • Brother (Dr.) Christopher Larbie (Assistant Secretary, CLMC)
  • Brother Joseph Eduam (Treasurer, CLMC)
  • Brother Benjamin Nana Yamoah (Organizer, CLMC)

Families and friends joined the church members to grace the occasion. The Presiding Bishop heartened the inductees and the church community to serve with diligence and sacrifice. He stressed that, the induction service was timely especially as the Church prepare to celebrate our heritage. He encouraged them to:

  • Use their resources to serve the people of God
  • Carry on and maintain the spirit of service from our forbearers
  • Study and understand the Scriptures to apply in the transformation of lives
  • Sharing the Methodist belief and faith of Scriptural holiness
  • To be honest in our dealings and businesses
  • Jealously keep and guard our Methodist Wesleyan Heritage
  • Maintain and sustain the Bible Class System and understand the scriptures
  • Do away with every form “Christian Galamsy” in the church
  • Train and appoint leaders who are Biblically sound and grounded
  • Appreciate all those who serve the church to complement each other
  • Keep to prayers as a people of God
  • Be kind to people and the community
  • Be transparent in our financial transactions
